Kenny Rodriguez Self Portrait
I shot this at La Defense in Paris. I used my mini tripod and set the camera on a timer. The intention was for it to look like the character is leaning on my shoulders. I think I nailed it.

George Washington Bridge
I don't like heights and it was a sketchy location but the end result makes it worth it. 15 second exposure of the George Washington Bridge in Washington Heights on the northern tip of Manhattan.

DJ Erick LaPeau
DJ Erick LaPeau has been doing his thing in NYC for years. We met back during the Spa days when clubs were generally still dope and you can hear fresh new shit(hip hop) every week. Remember when Jigga said "we at Lujauns buying out the bar on our way to Spa" well Erick was most likely spinning and if not it was either Mark Ronson or Stretch Armstrong who all had residences. Ahhhh the good old days. Anyway you can catch Erick doing his thing at M2 and Marquee now and he's down in Miami and Vegas every so often so go check him out and listen to some mixes on his Myspace page here: Erick LaPeau

Warped Self Portrait
You always see the world through my eyes when your viewing one of my photos so I turned the lens back on myself and this is what I came up with. No photo shop or manipulation of these shots, the effect was caused by warps in the mirror. A strange, abstract and somewhat revealing set of images of myself. The camera never lies.

VODKA VS DJ FEADZ
I went to go see Etienne de Crecy at Webster Hall but couldn't sit through DJ Feadz set. It sucked! I was disappointed for 2 reasons, 1. the music selection was horrible and...2. I expected him to kill it and he didn't. Hey, I guess everybody has an off day. At least I got a good photo out of it.

Big Bang
I've been posting just nightlife and DJ photos as of late because it's been my focus but here are some photos from this past weekend spent with my wife and her cousin and boyfriend who came over from France. We've been taking them around town showing them all the sites and it's always fun viewing the city through someone else's eyes especially when it's their first time in New York City. It's pretty refreshing. Here are a few shots from Rockefeller Center and Central Park.

You Gotta Love DJ HERBERT
DJ Herbert in Soho. Below in his own words:
I have been commanding the club scene since 2000, with residencies at Crobar, Lotus, Marquee, Cain, Avalon, Blvd, Apt, Temple, BED and more.
I’m known for my 30,000+ email called “The Herbert Holler”, a list of all the hottest music events in town, songs I’m feeling at the moment, and a short editorial about life in NYC (if you wanna get it, send an email to djherbert@earthlink.net); and the legendary “FREEDOM” party, an event I started 5 years ago due to the lack of real dance parties in NYC.
I spin hip-hop, rock, house, 80s, pop, disco, r&b, soul, funk, reggae, reggaeton, latin and any / all kinds of dance music. What sets me apart from other DJs is my connection to the crowd.
I play for people, not with myself. I mean for myself. I don’t play with myself. Seriously. I don’t. I used to, when I was little, but, you know, that’s what little kids do. They play with themselves! What? I don’t do it anymore!! I DON’T!! Yeah, in the bathroom. Every guy does that in the bathroom. It’s the bathroom! It’s not in public. What? Whatever a**hole.
SHUT UP AND DANCE!!!

MSTRKRFT @ Webster Hall
I host a bunch of friends every Friday at Webster Hall (your more then welcomed to come) and then I make a break and I go shoot throughout the night. I had high hopes of shooting MSTRKRFT but there were a few obstacles that I couldn't overcome. 1. being that MSTRKRFT performs with huge flat screen t.v.s in front of the DJ booth so you can't really see them. 2. there pretty far into the stage and 3. the crowd was insane. I made my way through all the madness you see above and made it to the front and maaaannnn..what a stench of sweat, red bull and vomit with the occasional breeze of weed or cigarette smoke. I eventually made it back to my table where I took this photo from. Above the madness.

Pay Phone
I had to pick up my wife from work so I decided to leave the apt.early so I could capture some nice colors and reflections after the rain but the A train wasn't running so it took me much longer then expected to get to where I was going and only one photo. I'm really happy with it. It's a pay phone reflecting the light from a bodega.
